The Help You Need
At Your Fingertips
MHAAC believes that individuals with mental health conditions deserve to live their best lives. That’s why we offer free education, peer support, and patient advocacy programs for individuals and the caregivers of those struggling with mental illness. We’ve compiled these mental health resources just for you.
Family Support Groups
These family support groups provide you with the opportunity to ask questions, share your experiences, and support others like you who are struggling to cope with a family member with a mental illness. There is no charge to attend, and any information you share at a group meeting is kept confidential.
Community Mental Health Resources
A library of books, pamphlets, articles, and tapes is available for loan, at the Mental Health Association office. For your convenience, we’ve also compiled a list of community mental health resources, organizations, services, and agencies.
Behavioral Health Care Services
The Alameda County Department of Behavioral Health Care Services (BHCS) provides an extensive resource directory of services and providers available to residents of Alameda County. These programs may vary from description. Check with specific providers for additional information on specific services provided by their agency.
NAMI Connections Support Group
NAMI Connection is a recovery support group program that offers respect, understanding, encouragement and hope.
