Family Caregiver Advocacy & Support Program

Our Family Caregiver Advocacy & Support Program serves families who have a member with mental illness being served at John George Psychiatric Hospital. A specialist will work with your family to familiarize you with the hospital, provide information on the Alameda County mental health system, answer any questions you may have, and walk with you through this difficult time. Your specialist will act as a liaison between you and the hospital service programs. Our Family Caregiver Advocacy Specialist can also assist families with criminal justice issues.
